So today’s theme goes perfectly with my Sevens costume! I decided I dress up as a nerd so these lined paper looking nails are right on the money.
I used Kleancolor White and red and blue stripers. It was so easy and I think it looks great. Hopefully I can post s photo of my costume tomorrow before I go to the sevens.

I love challenges! They make time go so quickly, it’s already the 30th! The weather here is crazy hot though.. It’s actually the first time I’ve ever needed to use a fan in my own home!
Any who, I created this look for today’s theme of ice cream with inspiration from this design. I started out with two coats of Himalayan Blue by Sally Hansen and used a blue striper to create pin stripes. I then used a white polish to create the ice cream and topped it off with a cherry. It went a bit streaky when I put top coat on 😦 dang it!

Oh what an ordeal today’s mani was! I was smart and prepared this earlier (yesterday) because I knew that I was having people over for dinner tonight. I took a photo (yes. Just one) of the mani then at work today in an act of random stupidness.. I deleted said photo!! I was rocking my tulip nails today.. It was gone. Zip. Nada.
Luckily I had guests over tonight that wanted me to do their nails so it wasn’t rude to pull out the polish and recreate this look. I used the cloud method for this mani and used Sally Hansen Himalayan Blue and my Rubi Going To The Chapel.

Wow it’s already day 17! December is just flying by.. Before you know it it’s going to be January. Blink and you’ll miss it! This year has gone so fast! Only five more working days of the year.
Today’s mani is inspired by my favourite Christmas movie Love Actually. When I watch this movie it instantly makes it feel like Christmas! I knew that the only way to make it work would be to write the title on my nails. I used the cover of the DVD as inspiration for this look.

12 days until Christmas! Goodness! Have you sorted your Christmas shopping??? Today’s challenge is snow. There are so many ways to interpret this theme! Too many.. I kind of wanted to make each nail different but I really like this simple mani.
I used Orly Black Out and my white from Rubi Shoes to create polka dot snow.

Well today’s challenge was a lot better than yesterday! Woo! When I think pine, I think of pinecones automatically but I didn’t have the right colours for the pine cone look I wanted so I just went with pine garlands instead. It was hard to make it look like branches but after I added the berries/ baubles I think it actually turned out great.

Today I finally got to use one of my Ciate minis from the advent calendar that my wonderful boyfriend bought me (and he even said it isn’t my Christmas present!) I’m so glad I didn’t have to wait for it! I did argue that it’s an advent calendar so I must have it now.. Hehe..
I started off with my blue ring finger (two coats of Sally Hansen Himalayan Blue) and used a dotting tool to create two circles at the tip so that my snowman could have a body and a face. I used a toothpick to create the buttons, face, arms and little red hat. He’s pretty cute don’t ya think?!
All my other nails are two coats of Rubi Shoes Going To The Chapel then over the top I used one coat of Ciate Angel Wings. It’s very, very pretty! Cue many snowman faces on all my other nails and voila! Day 6 is done! This challenge is going to get A LOT harder soon.. Aaannnnd I can’t look to the other participants for inspiration since NZ time is way ahead so I usually end up posting first. Sigh..

Wow, this nail art challenge is making the month go fast! I can’t believe it’s day five already. I am really getting into my blue polishes at the moment and this Sally Hansen Himalayan Blue polish is my favourite blue. It’s just so pretty and it applies like a dream! Are all of the Sally Hansen polishes in the Complete Salon Manicure range like this??
Anyway I did one of my favourite designs with the faux lace look at the cuticle and white stripes. I like blue just as much as pink for thus design, it really reminds me of cute packaging.
P.s: it’s official. I am putting a ban on myself. No new polish until my birthday in April….
